    Collagen Jam Bites | Gut-friendly treat

    Need a simple sweet treat that's nourishing for your gut? Try these collagen-packed chocolate jam bites.

    You’ll have each mouthful to thank for healthy, hydrated skin and a happy gut! 

    Gluten-free | Dairy-free | Makes 6 

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup organic strawberries (or berries of choice)
    • 2 tbsp chia seeds 
    • 1 + ½ scoops collagen restore 
    • 1 cup organic dark chocolate 
    • 1 tsp coconut oil 
    • Handful of freeze-dried strawberries: roughly chopped (optional) 

    Method:

    1. To a small bowl, add your strawberries and mash until liquidy and no clumps remain (option to use a blender here!). 
    2. Add in your chia seeds and collagen restore and mix until well combined. Set in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes. 
    3. To a plate or baking tray lined with baking paper, spoon ½ a tablespoon of the ‘jam’ into little dollops on the sheet. Set in the freezer for 2 hours. 
    4. Just before the jam bites are finished setting, melt the coconut oil and chocolate together in a small bowl, either in the microwave or over a double boiler. 
    5. With the hardened jam bites, dip each into the chocolate and cover with an extra drizzle. Top with the chopped freeze-dried strawberries if desired. 

    Notes: 

    • These last well in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a week.
