    Gut-Friendly Collagen Brownies

    Ingredients / Makes 8 squares

    • 1 cup blanched almond meal
    • 2 eggs
    • 1/2 cup ghee or butter, melted
    • 1/3 cup maple syrup, or sweetener of choice
    • 1/2 cup cacao powder
    • 3 tbsp Collagen Restore
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
    • 2 tsp cinnamon 
    • 2 pinches of salt
    Toppings
    • 1/2 -3/4 block of quality dark chocolate (80%+), broken pressed into the top of the brownie
    • Salt to sprinkle on top (optional)

    Method

    • Preheat your oven to 170°C/340°F. Line a bread loaf tin with baking paper.
    • Add all the brownie ingredients to a large bowl and mix to combine.
    • Scoop the mixture in the pre-lined tine and spread out evenly.
    • Press 1/2 of the broken chocolate bar into the top of the brownie evenly.
    • Place the brownie into the oven for 15 minutes, or until cooked to your liking.
    • Remove from the oven and allow to cool before slicing.
